I finally had time to walk over and check out “Bio’s Diet”, one of the few (only?) vegetarian restaurants in Salta for lunch today. They had three main dishes, two of which consisted of homemade soy bean burgers. I tried the hamburguesa de soja napolitana which actually consisted of two patties and no bread (thank god!) and I had access to a salad bar. The burgers were okay, kind of bland and covered with a weird cheese…but I ate the whole thing:
Well almost everything!
I was so excited to eat a meal that was not bread-based. Also, later on I had an alfajor made out of quinoa flour which was so tasty I forgot to photograph it!
